Talk with Trace

Part one of this series coincides with International Day of the Girl Child, which focuses on the need to address the particular challenges girls face, as well as promoting girls’ empowerment and the fulfilment of their human rights.
In this episode I spoke with Neera Sharma, the School Meals Programme Manager from WFP Nepal. We discussed WFP's work and initiatives that support children, including those positively impacting young girls and women. For example, the school meals program she manages helps serve meals to 250,000 girls and boys living in food insecure districts throughout Nepal. Neera’s team is driven by Zero Hunger targets that include ensuring access by all people, especially infants, poor and vulnerable people, to safe, nutritious and sufficient food all year round.
